The Game
Slip It In is an all-evening or weekend party game that will liven up your next social gathering. No more ‘let’s all robotically start and finish boring board game X.’ The game starts when you arrive and doesn't end until you want it to. Slip It In will create ice-breaking, thought-provoking, flat out funny and even confusing conversations.
‘I’m thinking of quitting my job to focus full time on my pottery.’ Uhhhh, ok cool, good luck with all that!
The Slips
Slip topics range from pop culture to odd observations, from sports to sex, and everything in between. The game comes with 234 Slips that will make you laugh, furrow your brow, or cringe.
The Rules
Play individually, as couples or teams.
Each player gets five (5) slips with random comments and questions. The object of the game is to Slip these exact phrases into natural conversation over the duration of the game without getting caught.
You must attempt to Slip in all of your comments during the allotted time of the game. A successful Slip must last at least one minute without anyone noticing to receive credit. After time has passed you can announce to the group that you just SLIPPED IT IN! Player/team with the most points at the end of night/weekend wins. If there’s a tie, the most recent person/team who Slipped it In, is the winner.
You can also make up your own rules. We don’t really care. Now go have fun.

+1 pt Successful Slip: You’ve Slipped It In
+1 pt Successful Call-out: You’ve called them out on a Slip
-1 pt Failed Slip: You got caught trying to Slip It In
-1 pt Failed Call-out: You barely know your friend and awkwardly called out a serious comment
How it Started
Slip It In
Buttercup was raised on a small farm in the country of Florin. Shoot, forget that, wrong thread. Slip It In started way back when a group of friends got together for an old fashioned dinner and game night. Tired of the familiar and well-used selection of party game options, Slip It In was conceived and birthed to help liven up our couples night out.
Right when everyone arrived, each guest got five "Slips" of paper with a random phrase on it. The challenge was to Slip the lines into natural conversation throughout the evening. Having to say with a straight face, ‘We’re all so close, but yet so far away from our dreams’ to your confused friends apparently makes for a good time. What ensued were laugh out loud moments and some of the best and most surprising conversations we had that summer. Speaking of summer, don’t you just love the smell of bug spray in a garage?
Eager for more, we played impromptu versions of Slip at lake houses, over weekends, with family, even with strangers, and every situation in between. Turns out that forcing conversations about all kinds of random topics is just good clean fun.
The idea started to take life and developed into a real game. The first goal was just to make a legit boxed game that we each could have at our houses. Then it was to deliver on what many of our friends who learned about the game wanted- an opportunity to have a game for themselves. Life and Covid and other stuff happened but now here we are. The game is ready to pre-order and we look forward to hearing how you enjoy playing… And good luck reaching those dreams!
